FREMONT, CA: Vera Therapeutics, a clinical-stage biotechnology business focused on developing and commercializing transformative treatments for patients with serious immunological diseases, recently announced the appointment of Sean Grant, MBA, as Chief Financial Officer. He will be responsible for all financial operations at Vera Therapeutics, including financial strategy, investor relations, financial planning and analysis, accounting, tax, and treasury.

Sean Grant has approximately 15 years of expertise in the healthcare and financial services industries. Mr. Grant comes to Vera after serving as Vice President of Corporate Strategy and Business Development at CareDx. He oversaw and coordinated mergers & acquisitions, venture capital investments, and collaborations in diagnostics, pharmaceuticals, and digital platforms throughout his time there.

Grant was a Vice President in Citigroup’s Investment Banking Healthcare Division before joining CareDx. He specialized in public and private capital raising and mergers and acquisitions at Citigroup, where he worked for a number of the world’s premier life sciences businesses, including Gilead, Kite Pharma, and CRISPR Therapeutics. Before joining Citigroup, he worked at Piper Jaffray, Grant Consulting, and ESI Group in finance, strategy, and business development responsibilities. Grant graduated from George Mason University with a Bachelor of Arts in government and international affairs and a Master of Business Administration from Johns Hopkins Carey School of Business.
