Vibalogics is delighted to have Tom on board to lead its global growth strategy. His skills and understanding of the market will be critical to the success of not only the U.S. facility expansion but also the advancement of clinical offerings to drug developers across the world. In addition to heading the global vision and direction for Vibalogics, Tom will be developing a strong leadership team and combining future late phase and commercial operations into a business.
For the last 15 years, Vibalogics has expertise in manufacturing oncolytic viruses, viral vector vaccines, and viral vectors, providing process development, testing, and fill-finish services, manufacturing for early phase clinical trials from its GMP certified facility in Cuxhaven, Germany. The company was selected by Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies, a Johnson & Johnson company, as one of its manufacturing partners for its investigational COVID-19 vaccine candidate recently.
The next steps in the Vibalogics journey in the United States and Germany are really exciting. The company has some ambitious plans ahead that will provide a complete suite of virotherapy services to support drug developers and their most revolutionary products. In May 2019, Vibalogics was taken over by Ampersand Capital Partners, a private equity firm specializing in growth equity investments in the healthcare sector, enabling the CDMO to further its growth strategy and fast-track its plans to extend its footprint in the United States.
