In his new role as Senior VP, Business development, Sanjay Zaveri will look after PDS Biotechnology’s business strategy and manage the company’s potential partnership and licensing opportunities.

Sanjay Zaveri has joined PDS Biotechnology Corporation as Senior Vice President, Business Development. PDS Biotechnology Corporation is a clinical-stage immunotherapy company developing a growing pipeline of molecularly targeted cancer immunotherapies and infectious disease vaccines based on the Company's proprietary Versamune® and Infectimune, T-cell activating technologies. Mr. Zaveri has completed licenses and acquisitions with major biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies. He is responsible for business planning and overseeing PDS Biotech's prospective licensing and partnering possibilities in support of the company's pipeline as Senior Vice President of Business Development. Prior to joining PDS Biotech, he was the Head of Business Development and Corporate Strategy at Strongbridge Biopharma, where he was responsible for the company's business development, licensing, and partnership strategy before it was acquired by Xeris Pharmaceuticals. Prior to joining Strongbridge, he worked as a biotechnology consultant for Guidehouse, previously Navigant Consulting, and IQVIA. Mr. Zaveri has a bachelor's degree in pharmacy from Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and a master's degree in business administration from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota.

"As we demonstrate proof-of-concept for PDS0101 and our Versamune® and Infectimune„¢ platforms, Sanjay's proven ability to execute a sound business development strategy will be an asset to PDS Biotech," adds Frank.
In addition, in compliance with Nasdaq Listing Rule 5635(c)(4) and PDS Biotech's 2019 Incentive Plan, as amended, PDS Biotech granted Mr. Zaveri nonstatutory stock options to purchase 150,000 shares of PDS common stock as a meaningful inducement to his employment with PDS Biotech. PDS Biotech's 2019 Inducement Plan, as amended, provides for equity awards to new PDS Biotech employees. The exercise price of the stock option award is $5.35, which is the closing price of PDS Biotech's common stock on May 17, 2022. The option award vests over four years, with one-quarter of the shares vesting on the first anniversary of the grant date (May 17, 2023) and the remaining shares vesting monthly over the next 36 months, subject to continuing employment with the firm through the vesting dates.
