Reven is preparing to initiate a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, multi-institutional clinical trial of its leading anti-inflammatory/anti-oxidant reviewing drug product Rejuveinix (RJX) in the treatment of COVID-19. The upcoming clinical trial is created to evaluate the safety and efficacy of the RJX in COVID-19 patients.
Reven announces today that it chose DSG, Inc., a leading global eClinical services provider, for all the aspects of clinical trial data management during its upcoming COVID-19 study. DSG will work with the Reven team directly, facilitating the real-time process optimizations needed to make data management more efficient in a proactive electronic data capture (EDC) environment. With its eCaseLink platform, DSG will offer the data management tools for Reven to achieve its high-quality data collection, management, and analysis goals. Reven will also use the Interactive Response Technology (IRT) of DSG to manage randomization in the upcoming study.
Fatih Uckun MD Ph.D., the Chief Medical Officer at Reven, says that he has worked with DSG in a few of his previous clinical projects, and he looks forward to working once again side by side with their excellent team. They are confident that using the DSG platforms will improve data collection and management quality during the COVID-19 clinical study. The quality of the clinical trial data is of the utmost importance for its reliability and interpretability. Therefore, they selected DSG as the eClinical provider for data management services, Michael Volk, Reven’s Chief Strategy Officer, has said.
Tony Varano, the CEO at DSG, has commented that the DSG team is thankful for the opportunity to partner with Reven, collaborating with a most useful, talented, and practical clinical trial leader, Dr. Fatih Uckun, on systems design, and to be part of the solution in finding a treatment for COVID-19. This continues the 28-year DSG tradition of continuous process improvement and tech innovation for the clinical trials community. They believe the eCaseLink unified platform sets the standard for ease of use and flexibility, their partners, system users, and stakeholders’ demand.
