Imago BioSciences, a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company focused on developing novel therapies for myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPNs), has hired Michael Arenberg as Chief Operating and Business Officer. Mr. Arenberg is a seasoned biopharmaceutical executive who will be responsible for Imago's strategy, investor relations, commercial development, and business growth.

“His extensive experience negotiating strategic collaborations and in a variety of strategic financial and operational roles will prove invaluable as we progress bomedemstat into Phase 3 clinical development and beyond,” adds Rienhoff.
Michael Arenberg is a seasoned executive with more than 25 years in the biopharmaceutical, healthcare, and medical device businesses. Before joining Imago, Mr. Arenberg spent 22 years with DURECT Corporation, most recently as the company's Chief Financial Officer for the last three and a half years. Mr. Arenberg formerly held positions of increasing responsibility, including Senior Vice President of Corporate and Business Development. He was responsible for negotiating and closing several key strategic agreements and transactions at DURECT and supervising all financial and capital market activities, public communications and investor relations, strategic planning, and control of many operational groups. Mr. Arenberg began his career as a co-founder of IntraEAR, Inc., a medical device business focused on medication delivery acquired by DURECT after five years of operation.

Mr. Arenberg holds a law degree from the University of Denver's Sturm College of Law and a master's degree in business administration from Santa Clara University.
Laura G. Eichorn, previously Chief Operating Officer and Interim Chief Financial Officer, was confirmed as Imago's Chief Financial Officer today. Ms. Eichorn co-founded Imago BioSciences and has over 25 years of operational experience in finance, operations, human resources, and communications.
