Kerala Ayurveda Limited (KAL) has recently made a significant breakthrough as proof of its Modern Voice and Scientific Credibility. The United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) has awarded KAL its 1st patent for a uniquely processed proprietary herbal formulation, inspired from ancient ayurvedic wisdom.
The product has been extensively studied through the rigors of modern scientific validation through Phytochemical & Marker Analysis, Extensive pre-clinical at Renovel Discoveries Inc. in the United States and pharma rigour double-blind placebo-controlled clinical study at the well-known Banaras Hindu University (BHU) in India.

The patent also covers the efficacy of the herbal composition in the management of metabolic syndrome disorders such as type 2 diabetes mellitus, obesity, and lipid profile management, as well as the use of the herbal composition in the preparation of food supplements, pharmaceuticals, and nutraceuticals in suitable dosage forms such as beverages/liquids, capsules, tablets, granules, jellies, and so on.
KAL's main goal with this invention was to establish Safety, Purity & Efficacy and also to provide a standardised process for preparing such an herbal composition, resulting in a standardized product with specifications that could indicate batch-to-batch consistency (in terms of certain specific active ingredient composition that are unique to the herbal blend and are believed to contribute to the efficacy of the formulations so prepared and developed).
