INTEGRA has come up with the ASSIST PLUS D-ONE single-channel pipetting module.
FREMONT, CA: Laboratories are continually implementing new technology, whether hardware or software. Laboratory automation systems have been one of the most transformative technologies in recent decades. Automation uses software to enable equipment and robots to work with minimal human supervision, hence increasing efficiency and product quality. INTEGRA Biosciences has developed the D-ONE single-channel pipetting module, which allows hands-free transfers from individual tubes or wells when used with the ASSIST PLUS pipetting robot. This system efficiently automates time-consuming processes such as serial dilutions, sample normalization, hit selecting, and pipetting of complicated plate layouts, thereby enhancing laboratory productivity and repeatability while minimizing manual labor, processing errors, and physical strain.

The D-ONE and ASSIST PLUS combination delivers consistently precise and reproducible findings by automating normalizing dilution calculations, hit selecting without transcribing errors, and master mix preparations for varied sample numbers and volumes. This makes the D-ONE the ideal complement for laboratories looking to expand beyond the capabilities of multichannel pipetting and gain access to a limitless number of applications on the ASSIST PLUS.
The D-ONE is offered in two-volume ranges: 0.5 to 300 μl and 5 to 1250μl, ensuring optimal pipetting performance over a broad volume range. Each D-ONE module features two distinct pipetting channels that accommodate 12.5 and 300 μl or 125 and 1250 μl GripTips for high and low volume applications, respectively. The D-ONE pipetting module detects the liquid level before aspiration and is compatible with all INTEGRA GripTips used in tabletop pipetting machines. This eliminates the need for specific tips and expedites program setup. When combined with a specially built D-ONE tip deck that accommodates two tip racks, this enables the ASSIST PLUS to automatically switch between GripTips without requiring tiresome manual intervention, resulting in increased walk-away times.
