Dr. Wang is a highly accomplished biotechnology executive with considerable global finance experience in the biotechnology business, including corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, operations management systems, and financial planning and analysis with global public firms. He joins Cellectis to lead the company's worldwide financial team, working directly to Andre Choulika, PhD, Chief Executive Officer.
Dr. Wang most recently served as the Chief Executive Officer and Director of Refuge Biotechnologies Inc., a cell therapy immune-oncology biotechnology business that uses synthetic biology and gene engineering, which he co-founded after nearly a decade in healthcare investment banking. Dr. Wang worked in healthcare investment banking at Barclays Capital Inc. and Citigroup Global Markets Inc. before joining Refuge. Dr. Wang was a director of healthcare investment banking at Barclays, where he served as a strategic financial advisor and assisted companies in the healthcare industry in raising finance. Dr. Wang previously served on the Board of Directors of KBP Biosciences, a clinical-stage biotechnology firm. He presently serves on the advisory board of Columbia Business School's Healthcare and Pharmaceutical Management Program.
